What we process

We process the information you send to us when you contact us, request support, use live chat, download a trial, request a license or place an order. This can include your name, company name, email address, phone number, license details, support questions and payment or invoice information.

When you visit the website, technical information can also be processed, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer, campaign parameters and approximate interaction data.

Analytics, advertising and live chat

The website uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Advertising/Bing and ProvideSupport live chat. These services can receive technical information about your visit and can set or read cookies or similar technologies. We use this for website statistics, advertising measurement, ad optimisation and support.

Why we use the data

We use personal data to answer questions, provide support, deliver trial and license information, process orders, maintain administration, secure the website and improve our website and advertising. The legal basis can be contract, pre-contractual communication, legal obligation, legitimate interest or consent where required.

Retention

Order, invoice and administration data is kept for the statutory administration period, normally seven years. Contact and support communication is usually kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless it is needed longer for an active customer relationship, technical history, legal claims or administration. Website and security logs are usually kept for up to 12 months. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the settings and policies of the relevant providers.

Sharing and processors

We only share data when needed for the purposes above. This includes hosting, email, payment, administration, analytics, advertising and support providers. Some providers, such as Google, Meta, Microsoft and ProvideSupport, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used.

Your rights
