Use cases for larger Outlook teams

Create focused group calendars for the information people actually need.

Absence and OOO overviewBuild a clear absence calendar with vacation, out of office and working-elsewhere items.
Client and account calendarsCollect meetings related to a client or account, so people can see who met whom and when.
Department or branch calendarsGive managers a practical overview of team activity without showing every private or irrelevant item.
Project calendarsShow only appointments linked to a project, category or subject.
Company events and holidaysPush company events or holidays into user calendars without invitations and responses.
Technicians and field teamsUse Outlook calendars as a simple planning overview for groups of people on the road.

One person, multiple focused group calendars

With EGC, the same people can be included in different group calendars. For example: John works at the Amsterdam office, is involved in the AI working group and mainly does sales from Amsterdam.

His Outlook appointments can then appear in three group calendars:

  • In/out Amsterdam: is he in the office, working from home, visiting a customer, or on vacation?
  • AI working group: only the appointments he marked in his calendar with the category "AI working group".
  • Sales: all his other appointments except private items.
